Many of your questions may be answered by the following. Larry requests you read through before emailing your questions. However, if unanswered, please be free to zap off a line. Your questions will be answered within a week or so. Sorry about the delay, but Larry gets a lot of email and sometimes he needs to finish off a few miniatures for this weekends' game so he may not get back to you right away. -- About Larry

Q) What sort of cap is Larry wearing?
A) It is called a kepi and is a type worn during the American Civil War by both North and South soldiers. The diamond shaped device on top of Larry's kepi is divisional ID marker. If you want to know more about this, e-mail us directly; Larry can go on, and on about such details, and would really love to, but there really isn't space available on this website for that sort of answer.
---
Q) Why does he always wear it?
A) It just wouldn't be Larry without it, would he? Actually, he bought it while visiting the Gettysburg, PA battlefield park, during his 1994 trip to a nearby convention and, well, he has not taken it off since.
---
Q) Is Mr. Leadhead his real name?
A) Absolutely. He is an avid gamer, who, like us, plays a lot of tabletop games, and is just as crazy for the enjoyment, the interest, the smell of the metal (going to our heads?) and the fun in the hobby. For Susan, his name's creator, Larry just rhymed.
---
Q) Is Larry based on a particular person?
A) Yes, he is your typical wargamer just like you or I. And we think we see a little of ourselves in him, don't you?
---
Q) What does "G.A.W.S" stand for? It appears to be Larry's gaming club?
A) G.A.W.S. is Larry's gaming club and it stands for : The Game All Week Society (we can all dream can't we?)
---
Q) Has Larry Leadhead been previously published?
A) He appeared, albeit in much rougher form, in the NHMGS Newsletter "The Citadel" from 1994-2000 until author Doug Hamm and illustrator Eric Hotz started their collaboration which now appears in various newsletters/magazines throughout the world.
---
Q) Will Larry Leadhead be appearing in my favorite magazine, newsletter, newspaper, etc?
A) He sure can. Just send a Larry Leadhead cartoon strip sampling to your favorite magazine, newsletter or newspaper, etc., and give them our e-mail address (DandE@larryleadhead.org). I know that Larry would love to see himself in more publications.
---
Q) Will you make a cartoon from an idea I submit?
A) Surprisingly, after all the time Larry has been on the Web, our own flow of ideas has not waned. In most cases, the inspirations provided are of the unwitting variety, spoken as part of the banter across the gaming table. We take notes, then "format" or change/enhance/alter the idea to give it a punch and squish it into the space available. Now back to the question at hand. Yes, we might use an idea or text submitted, but you must understand that all comic ideas submitted to us (DandE) become property of DandE. You will have not legal possession to the cartoon or its use. Doug Hamm and Eric Hotz have the right to its use and to make any changes we feel fit to all ideas submitted. Thus we retain the right to bend, fold and mutilate any idea that comes unsolicited to us (Doug will often do this to Eric's ideas, and Eric does the same to Doug's ideas -- that's just life).
---
Q) Why don't you make the strip bigger?
A) We like the idea of a cartoon strip compatible to those found in newspapers. This is not to say we will syndicate Larry Leadhead like Peanuts or Dilbert. Our beloved Larry is obviously directed for a niche market and most of the public might not understand the humor.Nevertheless, all readers will be accustomed to this look and familiar with the style. In this respect, our color cartoons also.

A) Of course, but you may not mirror our website, and may not have more than two cartoons running at any one time. Also, please inform us whenever you use one of our cartoons, because we would be interested to know what your visitors think about Larry Leadhead.
